He is survived by: his wife Barbara Groechel of Brookfield; his children, Jim and Jaya; his stepsons, Tom and Gregg Groechel; and his granddaughters, Lia Sparks (Chris) and Liz Calvert (Joey). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
