Jeffrey A. Rostagno Obituary
On January 10, 2024, Jeffrey Allen Rostagno, affectionately known as Jeff, passed away at Evin of Oconomowoc after a courageous battle with Early Onset Alzheimer's. Throughout his struggle, Jeff faced each day with humor, grace and dignity, embodying the true spirit of courage in the face of adversity. Born on March 11, 1954, in Waukesha, WI, he was the eldest of eight children of Lillian and William Rostagno. Jeff's kind spirit and loving heart, undimmed by his illness, continue to shine as a guiding light for all who knew him.
Predeceased by his father William, sister Patricia Rutlin, niece Patricia Emslie, and brother-in-law Michael Schneider, Jeff's legacy lives on through his mother Lillian Huegel Rostagno; his brothers, Joseph (Wendy) and Mark (Pam) Rostagno; his sisters, Margaret Schneider, Annette (Paul) Gahlman, Jill (Ron) Dillman, and Beth (Michael) Janke; brother-in-law Rick Rutlin; and his nieces and nephews Rostonia (Christian) Thilmany, Katelynn (Kyle) Goss, Bryce Richards, Garret (Lauren) Richards, Sarah (John) Selman, Emily (Tyler) Rostagno, Paige (Geremy) Birkinshaw, Marshall Dillman, Lily Ann Dillman, Emmy Rostagno, Alex Rostagno, Kolton (Kylie) Emslie and his eleven great-nieces and nephews.
A proud alumnus of St. Joseph's Catholic School and Waukesha South High School, Jeff lived many years in Waukesha, working in the printing and graphic arts industry. Embracing a change of pace, Jeff moved to Bonita Springs, Florida, to live the good life under the sun. An avid athlete, Jeff's passion for sports was as diverse as his taste in music. He excelled in softball, hockey and martial arts, and also enjoyed piloting airplanes and playing golf. His love for all genres of music was equally apparent in his impressive collection of vinyl records.
One of Jeff's favorite memories was his annual hunting trip with his Dad and Uncle Ward and he especially treasured his lifelong friendship with the Caracci family. Jeff's comforting presence and unwavering spirit created lifelong friendships and left indelible impressions on everyone he met. His love, laughter and values will forever remain in our hearts. As we remember Jeff, we celebrate the remarkable life he led and the enduring impact he made on our lives. A Celebration of Life will be hosted by Jeff's family on Saturday April 6th, 2024 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm at Cornerstone Sports Pub & Eatery in the upstairs ballroom, located at 24 S Main St. Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
