We announce the death of John David Wean (Oconomowoc, Wisconsin), who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 76. John David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. John David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John David will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jon Valentine Wean and Vivian Victoria Replogle; and his brother William Wean. He is survived by: his wife Mary Feider; his sons, Matthew, Christopher and David; his sister Victoria Hintz (James); and his nieces, Jennifer Janik (Thomas) and Lisel Hintz.
In honor of John's life, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society-Hope Lodge in Rochester, MN.
