Joseph C. Sydow III Obituary
Joseph "Joey" is now at peace from a troubled heart condition that ended his life far too soon.
He joins the company of his beloved father, grandparents, extended family and many close friends who passed before him. Joey was always generous with his time and looking to make people laugh while making every encounter memorable. He was kind, honest and adventurous, with an appetite to always go fast. While he spent his early years on horses, skis and motorbikes, his appreciation for fast things quickly morphed into a passion for sports cars of all kinds, from all over the world. And his appetite for travel took him across the globe as he enjoyed learning about new cultures. Joey was also very active philanthropically supporting kids sports teams with uniforms, schools with computers, and toys for kids at Christmas. He was a devoted and deeply loved family member that was always supportive to everyone in the family, and he will be profoundly missed.
Joey is survived by his mother Elizabeth Sydow in Fox Point and his brother Kristian Sydow in Chicago.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2026, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home 121 S. Cross St. in Oconomowoc, WI, visitation from 10:30am until time of service at 12:30pm. Joey will be committed to eternal rest at LaBelle Cemetery in Oconomowoc with the balance of his departed family.
