He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schaefer and Gertrude Schaefer; and his sister Nancy (Dennis Leonard). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bleecker; his daughters, Suzy Foster (David), Sally Schwartz (Jay) and Shari Roush (Brad); his grandchildren, Bailey Mitchell (Dustin), Nicholas Foster (Lauren), Hailey Dougherty (Gus), Andrew Schwartz (Dianna), Hannah Kusel (Michael) and Holly Roush (Mikey Ludwig); and his great grandchildren, Andre Schwartz and Baby Boy Dougherty.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Club House (1380 W Wisconsin Ave, Oconomowoc, WI 53066).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shorehaven Foundation (https://shorehavenliving.org) or Pony Tales Refuge & Rehab in Schaefer's name are welcome.
