Shirley J. Seeley Obituary
Shirley JoAnn Seeley of Oconomowoc, WI passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc after a 4 month battle with cancer. She was born on May 21, 1934 in Oconomowoc, WI to Charles and Virginia (nee Hansen) Kuhtz. Shirley graduated from Oconomowoc High School and was married to Robert "Bob" almost 69 years before his passing in 2021.
Shirley was a devoted member of St John's Lutheran Church in Stone Bank. Her hobbies included crafts, camping, bird watching, flower gardening, traveling and cherishing time at family gatherings, reflecting her love for both nature and her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Seeley, and son, Mark Seeley. She is survived by her sons, Steven Seeley of Stone Bank, and David Seeley of Oconomowoc, daughter, Diane Seeley of Oconomowoc; five grandchildren, Kelly Christiaansen Seeley, Chris Seeley, David (Stephanie) Seeley II, Jacqueline (Rachid) El Amrani, Jeff (Marisela) Christiaansen II; and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Carol (Richard) Dienhart of Florida, Nancy (Tom) Crichton of Hartland and sister-in-law Nancy Ann Kuhtz; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chuck and Ken Kuhtz and her sister Janette Burchardt.
Shirley's life will be celebrated in the church that she loved, where she was baptized, confirmed and married.
Visitation will be held June 16, 2025 at St John's Lutheran Church, W334 N6990 Stone Bank Rd, Oconomowoc from 10 am until time of service at 11 am. Burial in St John's Cemetery following the service.
