He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Fritz" Janiak and Joyce Janiak (Newstrom); his brother Michael; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Bitter and Janice Janiak.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Janiak; his children, Todd Janiak, Troy Janiak (Kristy), Toni Rae Lang, Teri Athey (Matt), Tami Hallam (Dick), Pam Anderson (Mark Schliawski) and Laura Anderson; his siblings, Lynn Landreth, Ralph Janiak (Annette Schlotman) and Annette Bitter; his sister-in-law Christine Janiak; and his brother Howard Christensen. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
