He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry DeWindt and Mary DeWindt (DePouw); his wife Elsie M. Gouveia; his children, Robert Bronder and Debbie Hughes (Johnny); and his siblings, Doris Rhode, Erna DeWindt, Donald and Raymond DeWindt.
He is survived by : his daughter Darlene Cherry (James); his brother Leon DeWindt (Barbara); his grandchildren, Katie, Scott Bronder, Christel Kruse, Desiree Kruse (David) and Aspen Kruse; and his great grandchild Trinity Norton.
