He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert E. Childs and Inez Childs (Killion); his wife Fran; and his brother Ken Childs. He is survived by: his daughter Kim; his son-in-law Mel Busch; his grandchildren, Chris Busch, Peoria and Dr. Jenny Adamson (Anthony); and his granddaughter-in-law Tillie Savala.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (4105 N Division St, Davenport, IA 52806). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Davenport Memorial Park (1022 E 39th St, Davenport, IA 52807).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Victory Foundation.
