He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Johnson and Opal Johnson; his parents-in-law, John Harvey Didlo and Clara; his brother Terry; and his sister-in-law Sue Nelson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tessi and Wanda (Mike Kern); his grandchildren, Garrett (Allie), Larkin and Morgan Kern (Josh Pagel); his wife Mary Lu; his sister Vicky Rehak (John Lenzmeier); his pet Rascal; and his caregiver Jenny.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the House Style Gathering (2 Jackson St, Oshkosh, WI 54901).
Those who wish to make a memorial donation may do so in Gary's name to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
