He was predeceased by: his parent Regene Knops; his parents-in-law, Marshall and Hazel Chaloupek; and his brothers, Marlowe Johnston and Charles Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Knops; his children, Scott Knops (Marianne) and Kelly Crist (Kim); his grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Amanda, Cassidy, Elena and Sean; and his great grandchild Braxton. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
