He is survived by: his wife Alice Driscoll; his son Russell (Mihaela); his grandsons, Brice (Peyton) and Connor Polender; his sons, Stephen Polender and Scott (Jodi); his grandchildren, Zoe, Piper and Tabitha Polender; his son Robert (Allison); his grandchildren, Lily and Bryn Polender; his stepdaughter Jennifer (Daniel); his stepgrandchildren, Colin, Brendan and Karsen Fitzpatrick; his stepdaughter Tammy (John); his stepgrandchildren, Amelia, Maisy, Miley and Alex Balsley; his sister Vickey Ronan (Steve); and his nieces, Robin Goudie and Ruth Goudie-Ghey. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Olivet Church (2100 Bainbridge St, La Crosse, WI 54603). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Olivet Lutheran Church (2100 Bainbridge St, La Crosse, WI 54603). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery North County.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to Olivet Lutheran Church of La Crosse, the Gundersen Medical Foundation, or the Salvation Army.
