David Adickes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 29, 2020, at the age of 83, David Adickes (Onalaska, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Martin Adickes and Erna Adickes; his brother Robert; his wife Gloria Kay Litke (Litke); his grandchildren, Emily Scheevel (Derek), Eric Pederson (Kristi), Gretchen Adickes, Benjamin Adickes (Elaina), Jennifer Adickes, Madeline Adickes, Katrina Schlafer (Jonathan) and Finnian Adickes; and his great grandchildren, Ellie Pederson, Amelia Pederson, William Scheevel and David Scheevel. He was also cherished by five children.

Memorial donations can be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church Day Care, the Luther High School Finish the Work Campaign, and the Luther High School Music Department.

Eileen Heise-Loew wrote a sympathy message

“Sorry for the adickes family loss. I remember mr adickes fondly, i and my sister suzanne were privileged to be one of his “dorm” children from about 1973-1977. I was in the house with the “flood” in the wee hours of the morning calling over on the speaker our toilet was broken! It was an honor to grow up for a short time with your family. May you have comfort that he is now helping conduct the angels’ choir! Eileen heise-loew, class of ‘77”
