We announce the death of Don Duerwachter of Onalaska, Wisconsin, born in Dakota, Minnesota, who passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 89. Don will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his son Alan Duerwachter; his parents, William Duerwachter and Kathryn Duerwachter; his stepmother Eleanor Duerwachter; and his brother Jerry Duerwachter.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey Duerwachter (Witt); his children, Troy Duerwachter (Marla) and Lisa Elliott (Dave); his daughter-in-law Kathleen Duerwachter; his grandchildren, Tyler Duerwachter (Kala), Courtney Kostuchowski (Joseph), Alicia Spindler (Devin), Taylor Elliott and Whitney Elliott (Cody); his great grandchildren, Landon, Royal, Aubrey, Leonna and Konrad; his brother Steven Duerwachter (Donna); and his sister-in-law Shirley Duerwachter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School in Onalaska or to the charity of your choice.
