It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Marie (Harter) Lucey of Onalaska, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harter and Margaret Harter (Johnston); and her brothers, John Harter of Eleva and Bernie Harter of Viroqua. She is survived by: her children, Bernard Lucey (Susan), Michele Cook (Bill) of Holmen, Roger Lucey of Westby, David Lucey (Kim) of Sparta and Troy Lucey (Beth) of Pewaukee; her grandchildren, Brianna Severson (Anthony) of La Crosse, Allisa Rich (Alex) of Onalaska, Jennifer Lucey of La Crosse, Landon Lucey of Westby, Nadia, Margreta and Jasper Lucey of Pewaukee; her great grandchildren, Avery, Paige Severson and Archer Rich; her siblings, Jim Harter (Cindy), Dan Harter (Renae) of Viroqua, Mary Ann Duncan (Ted) of Onalaska and Rita Clary (Fred) of Richland Center; and her sisters-in-law, Karen Harter of Eau Claire and Jane Harter of Viroqua. She is also survived by godchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (400 Congress Ave, Viroqua, WI 54665). A Mass was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Viroqua Cemetery (429 Hickory St, Viroqua, WI 54665).
