Joe Maier Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Maier of Onalaska, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 4, 2026 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joe Maier to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Selma Maier Haroldson (Hole) and Joseph Maier Sr.; his in-laws, Mary and Everett Newburg; his siblings, Mary Ann Wartinbee, Linda Curtis, James Maier and Robert Maier; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Wartinbee, Jim Newburg, Jeff Newburg, Shirley Maier and Sheila Newburg.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Newburg Maier; his daughter Amy Smalley (Mike); his stepdaughter Carrie Owen; his grandchildren, Hunter Owen, Mikayla Smalley Burke (Will), Samantha Smalley, Erica Smalley and R. J. Smalley; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Maier, Sandra Newburg, Shirley McGrath (Larry), Jim Curtis and Stretch Newburg (Janice).
