He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Marie and James Schleppegrell. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Mlsna (Teeta); his daughter Lynn Metzger (Dustin); his grandchildren, Quinn and Saga; and his sisters, Patricia Fenstad, Penelope Anderson, Diana Quist and Tao Schatz (Michael). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
