He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Yeager and Virginia Yeager; and his siblings, John Yeager and Nancy. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Yeager; his children, Kim Durfee (Jeremy) and David Yeager (Andrea); his grandchildren, Jamie Michael, Andree and Johnny; his siblings, Patrick Yeager (Linda) and Sue Ramey (Tom); and his pet Mittens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
