He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bakewell and Luella Bakewell (Schulte); his son Steve; his brothers, Larry, Ron, Bob and Ken; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Howes and Colleen Bakewell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Netwal); his daughters, Debbie Bakewell and Diane Weilandt (Steve); his grandchildren, Christopher Greinke Bakewell, Justin Weilandt (Savannah), Joey Weilandt, Miranda Friemel, Cameron Weilandt and Makayla Huntington; his great grandchildren, Bennett, Layla, Noelle, Roman Weilandt and Ethan Friemel; his siblings, Jan Howes and Jim Bakewell (Joyce); and his sister-in-law Bonnie Bakewell.
