He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Deloris (Johnson); his wife Diane Weiss (Dell); his brothers, Dale and Ray; his sister-in-law Deanna; and his nephew Doug.

He is survived by: his children, Bill Weiss, Rob Weiss, Kim Bronston (Leo), Rick Cornforth (Andrew Hafner) and Lyanna Opitz (Andy); his grandchildren, Kadie Chase, Wolfgang Weiss, Rozella Weiss, Tassia Owen (Scott), BJ Bronston (Susan), Jordan Bronston (Jessica), Alec Bronston (Abigail), Keaton Bronston (Hannah Botsford), Kiya, Kali Bronston, Aiden and Simon Optiz; his siblings, Gary, Sophie, Charlene and Janelle; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Marilyn. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
