He was predeceased by: his mothers, Carol Carpenter and Marie Carpenter (Case); his siblings-in-law, Barb Snyder (Bohning), Gwen Peterson (Bohning), Robert Radke and Jim Peterson; and his niece Lisa Fokken (Radke).
He is survived by: his wife Karon Carpenter (Bohning); his children, Renae Teale (Rob), Charles Carpenter (Stephanie), Matthew Carpenter (Kedibonye) and Tammy Carpenter; his grandchildren, Danielle Teale (Ricky Lentz), Adam Teale (Sara Salacinski), Ben Teale (Morgan), Cailan Carpenter and Cedric Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Dean, Finley and Fiona; his sister Sally Radke; and his brother-in-law Loren Snyder. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
