He was predeceased by: his sister Helen Koltes (Crothers). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Smith (Gleason) of Onalaska; his son Scott Crothers (Natalie); and his grandchildren, Will and Cassidy of Jordan Lake. He is also survived by ten step grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post 336 (731 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska, WI 54650).
