He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram Heinen and Jennie Heinen (Roelofsen); his wife Marian Ringel; his son-in-law Paul Lensink; his siblings, Rueben Heinen (Romilda), Harold Heinen (Arleen) and Eunice Lewis; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Konz, Donald Ringel (Audrey), Richard Ringel, Ken Ringel (Kathy), Charlotte Ringel, Toni Barthels (Fred) and Caroline Vrubley (Joe).
He is survived by: his children, Sue Lensink of Oostburg, Mary Brill (Randy) of Waldo, Patti Vander Ploeg (David) of Arizona, Steve Heinen of Oostburg and Michael Heinen (Kaye) of Waldo; his grandchildren, Aaron Lensink (Angela), Andrew Lensink (Katie), Eric Brill (Lindee), Jason Brill (Andrea), Kevin Brill (Ashley), Michael Vander Ploeg (Hope), Stephanie Brandt (Kyle), Brett Vander Ploeg (Abby) and Ashley Hansen (Brad); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Konz of Sheboygan and Joyce Meggers (Carl) of Sheboygan. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial fund is being established in his name for Gibbsville Church.
