He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving G. Vanderpan and Margaret "Peggy" Vanderpan (Francis); and his sister Karen Barber. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Vanderpan (Idle); his daughter Erin Ruppert (Brian); his grandchildren, Kalie and Isaac Ruppert; and his sister Elaine Lanning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
