She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schuhart and Amelia Schuhart (Leinweber); her in-laws, Willis Bruce (W. B.) and Ione Sammons; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Schuhart and Betty Sammons.

She is survived by: her significant other Mike; her children, Michele Gordon (Rob) and Wade Sammons (Jill); her grandchildren, Lexi Gordon, Brinley Gordon (Aiden Labbe), Nora Sammons and Cormac Sammons; and her siblings, Bill Schuhart (Susan) and Barb Van Dyke (Dan).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saving Sully Dog Rescue.
