It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonja Fay Herbert of Osseo, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sielaff and Hazel Sielaff (Lee); her husband Cordell Herbert; her daughter Natalie Velie; her son-in-law Dean Sanders; and her sister Kathryn Thompson (Sielaff).
She is survived by: her daughter Lori Sanders (late Dean); her son-in-law Steve Velie (late Natalie); her grandchildren, Joshua Velie (Rachel Mohr-Velie), Danielle Prissel (Mark), Tairyn Velie (Ryan Frank), Bret Sanders and Kara Howells (Trevor); her great grandchildren, Brynleigh Prissel, Beckett Prissel and Eira Velie; and her siblings, Rosemary Berg (Sielaff), Georgia Nelson (Sielaff) and George Sielaff.
