It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Matt of Oxford, Wisconsin, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Matt and Loretta Matt (Roller); and his siblings, John (Jane), Betty Kaiser (Robert), Thomas, Robert (Ginney) and Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Auguste Jordan; his children, Elizabeth Strickland of Packwaukee, James Jr. (Christine) of Rhinelander and John of Las Vegas, NV.; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Zane), Sarah (Adrian) and Andrew (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Mea, Riley and Nova; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Matt and Sharon Bayless.
