He was predeceased by : his parents, Wenzel A. Meindel and Madeline Spohn; his sister Lois Stiglich (Edward); his grandchildren, Ryan Meindel, Richard Cartwright and Cara Meindel; and his brothers-in-law, Gerald Konrath, Edward Stiglich and Duane Touchette.
He is survived by : his wife Jean Meindel; his children, Kathleen Palmer (Patrick), Michael Meindel (Jennifer), Patricia Cartwright (Randal) and Vince Meindel (Linda); his grandchildren, Timothy Palmer (Jessica), Brian Palmer (Vanessa), Kevin Palmer (Rebecca), Lee Palmer (Michaela), Joseph Palmer (Brooke), Matthew Meindel (Lauren), Manning Meindel, Sara Nowak (Louie), Adam Cartwright (Mayra), Allen Cartwright, Kyle Meindel (Laura), Katie Kihneman (John), Maddy Plese (Dan), Karl Meindel (Hannah), Christopher Meindel (Allie), Mitchell Meindel (Courtney) and Claire Meindel; and his siblings, Bettyann Konrath, Kay Touchette, Gail Reinke (Donald) and Harry Pertle (Marilyn). He is also survived by 20 great-granchildren.
