She was predeceased by: her parents, William Burk and Bonnie Burk; and her nephew Maximillian Burk. She is survived by: her siblings, Brian Burk and Beverly McElroy (Steven); her siblings' children, Megan Apitz (James), Michaela McElroy, Mariah Carriere (Michael), Matthew McElroy and Spencer Burk (Gabriella); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Addison, Isabella Apitz, Hayden Carriere, Ryker and Benson Burk; and her aunts and uncles, Barbara Bulgrin, Sharon Burk, Mary Campion, Regina Burk, Carol Burk, Kenneth Bulgrin (Christine), Keith Bulgrin (Theresa) and Dennis Burk (Rosemary).
Brenda was always involved in her community, and she served on the Board of Directors for the Pendleton Historic Foundation in Pendleton South Carolina.
