He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H "Hoot" Thompson and Alyce "Ally" Jorns; his wife Patsy Jean of South Carolina; his son-in-law Baaron Pittenger; his siblings, Judith Barden, Ellen Corning and Paul Thompson; and his brother-in-law Lee Barden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sara Marie Thompson-Pittenger of Colorado Springs and Ruth Jean Thompson of Pardeeville; his grandchild Calliope B. Pittenger of Colorado Springs; and his siblings-in-law, Kent Corning of McFarland, WI, Ethel McLaughlin of Florida and Trina Campbel of South Carolina. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grasse Funeral Service - Pardeeville (119 Industrial Dr, Pardeeville, WI 53954). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 at the Pardeeville Cemetery (211 Riverview Dr, Pardeeville, WI 53954).
