He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillien Steffeck Shepherd and Dr. John G. Shepherd; his brother Dr. William D Shepherd; his sister-in-law Janet Shepherd; and his sister Leta Shepherd Gerber.
He is survived by: his nieces, Elyn Schloer of Park Falls and Ann Marin (Dan) of Tucson, Arizona..
