He was predeceased by: his mother Kay Vahl (Turney); his grandparents, Edna, Charles Turney and Lois Gehr; his parents-in-law, Rose Kwick and Donny Kernin; his son Travis Durante; and his cousin Robert Tullberg.
He is survived by: his father Thomas A. Vahl (Mona); his wife Teresa Spencer; his children, Stephanie Durante (BJ Wolff), Thomas E. Vahl (Alicia Miszewski) and Kristin Vahl (Jeremy Jacak); his grandchildren, Caleb Schmidt-Vahl and Regan Miszewski; his siblings, Scott Vahl (Amy McCorkle), Jamie Reynolds and Samantha Schafer (Dave); his friend Louis Bath (Connie); and his siblings-in-law, Arthur Spencer, Dale Spencer (Lynette), Dennis Spencer, Steve Spencer and Teresa Hunter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
