He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Teal and Kathryn Teal (Wolf); his son Daniel Scott; his parents-in-law, Walter and Esther Flak; his sister Janice Mattmiller; his siblings-in-law, Mary DeHart, Richard Opper, Vernon Mattmiller, Patrick Flak, Gary Rudolph, Larry Whitt and Lyle DeHart; and his nephew Mike Whitt.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Flak; his children, Brian Teal, Kelly Puls (Brad) and Sandra Thiex (Curtis); his grandchildren, Melissa, Kyle, Shawn and Aaron; his sister Karen Opper; and his siblings-in-law, Sally Rudolph, Carol Wolfe, Barbara Whitt, Paul Flak (Mary) and James Flak. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Town of Norwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue Dept, the Mattoon Fire Dept and EMS, or to St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church.
