He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Kennedy and Laurette Kennedy (Friebel); his former wife Marilyn "Mickey" Mertens; his wife Geneva Banczak (Kaiser); and his sisters, Laurel Streich and Wilma Wilkie.

He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Moore (Bill) of Vancouver, British Columbia, Elizabeth Reid (Jon) of Waukesha, Edward P Kennedy of Antigo, David Kennedy (Susan) of Antigo, Colleen Taylor (Patrick) of Bryant and Robert Kennedy of De Pere; his stepchildren, Amy Quig (Alan) of Pickerel, Robert Banczak of Lawrence Township and Mark Banczak (Melissa) of Clermont, Florida; his grandchildren, Wenonah Moore (Brandon Braden), Adrian Moore, Angus Moore (Jane), Beatrice Moore, Nathaniel Reid, Timothy Reid, Walter Reid, Amanda Gauthier (Travis), Justin Kennedy (Madeline), Sydney Smith (Jonah), Taylor, Aberdeen Taylor, Rugen Taylor, Arlen Taylor, Aidan Toebe, Seamus Kennedy, Linus Kennedy, Brandon Quig (Tiffany), Jessica Quig (Andy Jensen), Nathan Quig (Cassidy), Fabienne Calkins (John), Serine Banczak, Codie Banczak (Zach Casavant) and Ashley Funck; and his siblings, Mary Mazanec of Midland, MI, Peggy Kiss of Stoughton, Mike Kennedy (Kathy) of Antigo and Larry Kennedy (Joy) of Pinedale, AZ.. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
