He is survived by: his parents, Jennifer Grimm-Schwirtz and Shane Mentzel (Jen); his siblings, Corey Mentzel, Stephanie Gerard (Nathan), Elizabeth Mentzel and Morgan Mentzel; his grandparents, David and Kim Mentzel; and his siblings' children, Peyton Tankersley, Connor Tankersley, Odin Mentzel and Hannah Gerard. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
