He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Kane and Noris Kane (Miller); his daughter Samantha Kane; his brothers, John "Jack" Kane Jr. and Jeffrey Kane; his brother-in-law Dan Ostrowski; and his stepmother Ruth Kane.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Holford (Troy) and Thomas Kane (Jessica) of Pittsville; his grandchildren, Rebecca Holford (Ben Buettner) of Pittsville, Elizabeth Holford (Matt Ertl) of Auburndale, Nathan Holford (Audreane Doorn) of Wisconsin Rapids, Benjamin and Anastasia Kane of Pittsville; his sisters, Joan Korger (Gary) of Nekoosa and Deb Ostrowski of Wisconsin Rapids; and his sister-in-law Diana Kane of Cedarburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the Rembs Funeral Home (5253 2nd Ave, Pittsville, WI 54466). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church (5312 3rd Ave, Pittsville, WI 54466).
