He was predeceased by : his parents, John Schmid and Clara Schmid (Heiser); his siblings, Richard, Verlyn, Johnny, Clara Schmid and Viola Hinkson; his siblings-in-law, Beverly, Marilyn Schmid and Bernard Murphy; his niece Mindy Hinkson; and his parents-in-law, Reuben and Dorothy Ederer.
He is survived by : his friend Vincent Limmex; his wife Lee Schmid of Plain; his children, Dorothy Floerke (Stacy) of Black Earth, Lynn Kriha (Jim) of Neenah, Nancy Slaney (Mike) of Dodgeville and Allan Schmid of Waunakee; his grandchildren, Holly (Dean Stillman), Heather Floerke, Andrew, Rebecca, Matthew Kriha (Abby), Zachary and Jordyn Schmid; his great grandchild Adelia Stillman; his siblings, Virginia Murphy, Ronald Schmid (Barb Schriver), Mary Lampman (Harley), Betty Woldt (Fritz), Berniece Schmid (Mark Burright), Doris Laufenberg, Joanne Neuheisel (Bob) and Dan Schmid (Gloria); and his sister-in-law Shirley Schmid. He is also survived by siblings; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
