He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Mellor and Yvonne Mellor (Eiling); his wife Johanna Osterndorff; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Clara Osterndorff; his sister Monie Schwartz; and his brother-in-law Roger Bierman.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Weigel (Al) and Jeff Mellor (Joyce); his grandsons, Jason Weigel (Barb), Aaron Weigel, Nick Mellor (Lauren) and Luke Mellor; his great grandchildren, Cecilia and Jameson Weigel; and his sisters, Janice Bierman and Pam Kerr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
