He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Long and Rita Long (Schaffer); his wife Penny Kieffer; and his son Tim Long. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Vorwald (Craig); his grandchildren, Cody Klein (Erin), Jamie Schmitt, Brittany Murphy (Michael) and Dakota Schmitt (Heather); his friend Lakota; John, Roger (Mary) and Jim (Janelle). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory (1245 N Water St, Platteville, WI 53818).
