Herbert Joseph Smet Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Herbert Joseph Smet of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Herbert, born on September 16, 1940, passed away on July 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Smet and Viola Smet (Gengler). He is survived by: his wife Carol Miller of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Laurrie Stein (Michael) and Scott Smet (Laurie Stanek); his grandchildren, Christopher Stein (Sarah Richow), Dr. Ellyn Harris (Sean Peck), Joseph Stein, Jessica Smet, Ryan Smet (Carly Brown) and Tony Smet (Emily Marquez); Ben Smet-Cooper, Emmett Smet, Beau Smet and Lucas Stein. He is also survived by his six siblings and six in-laws.

In leu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
