Martha E. Schuh Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha E. Schuh of Plover, Wisconsin, born in Bear Creek, Alabama, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hampton and Delma Hampton; her husband Jim; and her siblings, David, Clyde, Glynda and Mary.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Barbara Shanahan; Leesa, Elmer, William and Tiana Cachuela. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Operation Bootstrap; United Way of Portage County; Kennedy Elementary School to honor those students who made the Wizards Jump Rope team a huge success; or, to any organization which helps children and families in need.

“I am so sorry that my friend Martha is gone. What a dynamic person and friend. I know you all are going to miss her as well as all of Plover and Stevens Point. Martha left us in a much better place because she chose to live here. The girl from Bear Creek, Alabama came to Stevens point and made a huge difference in lots of lives. She did it with such humility and grace and independence to the end. I will miss my humble friend for the rest of my life. Rest now Martha.”
