He was predeceased by: his parents, August Gumtow and Irene Gumtow (Schuette); his daughter Tina Champion; his sister Kathy Newago; and his siblings-in-law, Carol, Maris Gumtow and Paul Staege.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Bub; his daughters, Jeri Lynn Gumtow of Sheboygan and Samantha Will (Allen) of Kansas; his son-in-law Jack Champion of Texas; his brothers, Gene and Roger Gumtow; and his siblings-in-law, Gail Staege, Marilyn Flood and Bill Hellmer (Bev). He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 15 Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Suchon Funeral Home (1317 WI-67, Plymouth, WI 53073).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Dan's name to Beechwood Sportsmans Club.
