He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schmitz and Dorothy Schmitz (Dwyre); and his brother Michael Schmitz. He is survived by: his sister Karen Schmitz; his sister-in-law Christine Schmitz; his nephew Michael Schmitz Jr.; his niece Jessica Steinke (Guardian); and his friend Carol Williams. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
