She was predeceased by: her parents, Clemens Schneider and Mary Schneider (Piper); her brother John; her brothers-in-law, Vern Pinter and Roman Oldenburg; and her pet Franklin.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Knauer; her children, Heather Heier, Jennifer Knauer and Mark Nurmi (Gretchen); her grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas, Abigail, Jessica, Thomas and Emily; and her siblings, Judy Griffin (Mike), Kay Pinter, Audrey Oldenburg and Bill Schneider (Diane). She is also survived by many in-laws, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Bette's name.
