It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan W. Breitzman (Plymouth, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilmer Wassink and Josie Wassink (Ter Matt); her husband Donald Breitzman; her son Steven; her parents-in-law, Edwin and Esther Breitzman; her foster brother John Putnam; and her in-laws, Robert Breitzman (Ellen), Phyllis Guell (Merlin), Vivian Johanning (Carlyle), Ruth Krueger (Robert), David Breitzman and Doug Schweyer.
She is survived by: her son Brian (Jenny); her grandchildren, Michael and Abby; her great grandchildren, Silas and Elijah; her foster brother Doug Putnam; and her sisters-in-law, Lillie Putnam, Joyce Schweyer and Peggy Breitzman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Joan's name to St. John Lutheran Church or School, and to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).
