He is survived by: his wife Lilly Kappel; his children, Richard Kappel and Kim Zahn (Randy); his grandchildren, Brent Zahn (Angela), Kyle Zahn, Lauren Rusniak (Taylor) and Ryan Kappel (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Sadie, Selah, Toby, Callum, Rachel and Zoey; and his sisters, Mary Kappel and Ruth Krossin.
