He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thompson and Verna Thompson (Weidman); his brother Craig; and his uncle Jack Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Gail Hansen; his daughters, Shari Lynn Miley (Rick) of Plymouth, Brigitte Bennington (Bud) of Hopewell, IL, Spring Breitzman (Kyle) of Pewaukee, Heather Pipkin (Michael) of Milwaukee and Tiffany Thompson Immel (Jon) of Chillicothe, IL; his grandchildren, Nicole, Willie, Connor, Brittany, Amber, Kelsey and Lily; his great grandchildren, Aveline, Varah and Hazel; his siblings, Jyll Knautz (Dan), Steve Thompson (Jane) and Peter Thompson (Janet); and his aunt Lois Thompson.
