He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Abstetar and Mardell Abstetar (Lauer); his brother Michael Abstetar; and his brothers-in-law, Reggie Barber and Rick Hollnagel.

He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Abstetar; his granddaughters, Aaliyah Mora, Maddy Mora and Bela Eras Abstetar; his siblings, JoAnne Barber (Steve Witkowski), Tony Abstetar (Jan), Mary Steinhardt (Chuck), Nancy Abstetar, Kay Peterson (Terry) and Laurie Hollnagel; and his sister-in-law Trish Abstetar. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
