We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2025, at the age of 90, David George Druce of Portage, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Druce and Gladys Druce (Turner). He is survived by: his wife Margie Ratkowski (Maas); his stepsons, Mike Ratkowski (Jennifer Hilliard) and Matt Ratkowski (Erica Hill); and his grandchildren, Dillon (Lexi), Levi and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Steinhaus-Holly Funeral Home and Cremation Service (519 S Charles St, Westfield, WI 53964). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Saddle Ridge Clubhouse. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Druce Cemetery (19020 W Washington St, Grayslake, IL 60030).
