He was predeceased by : his parents, Roger Jenkins and Dorothy Jenkins (Cuff); and his brother Richard. He is survived by : his former life partner Kristine (Kettunen); his children, Siiri Forbes (Michael), Alison Ryan (Paul), Jonathon Jenkins (Ginny) and Philip Jenkins (Maggie); his grandchildren, Lilyian, Sasha, Carmen, Samantha and Juliet; and his siblings, Carolyn (Keith Markham), Barbara Stathas (Harry) and Robert Jenkins (Pamela). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

“In loving memory of David L. Jenkins, Someone so special will not be forgotten. I am saddened by his passing his friendship during our High School years on the track team, stage crew, trips to Chicago and just goofing around in the 5th Ward, at the Wisconsin Street Sinclair Station, and at the river are fond memories of a really special person. His leadership, even then, was so apparent. Molded friends like Tom Maloney, Steve Smith, Steve Raimer, Mike Underkoffer, Ozzie Banks, & Bill Alexander.”
